Experimental Design.

Behaviors I have observed within the population at Lowell High School were students not wearing to wear their school ID badges. The school handbook states that students must be wearing their ID badges at all times during school hours for safety and hazard precautions, but even then students still do not wear their badge.
I have made a hypothesis about why this behavior occurs. The first one I thought of was the mentality that “rebels are cool”, so students feel that not following the rules will give them some sort of feeling that because they went against school policies, that they will gain some form of respect from their peers. Some students simply forget them, due to the small size. Students also misplace their badges, but some students either buy a new ID badge, try to fight through the day without one, borrow a friend’s ID, or make a fake ID badge. Students are allowed to receive a temporary ID badge, but that price comes with a detention, which students do not want.
An efficient way of testing my hypothesis is through a series of surveys from a sample of the population of LHS. In between class times, I would go out to survey students not wearing the standard school ID badge.

Catching up on times here, I haven't been on for oh so long... I'm a junior at school now. I'm starting to get pretty good grades. Hitting up the big 1-6 in 2 weeks! Made some pretty tight new friends. I've decided to be done and start letting 'em come to me. Workin' hard in school. Livin' life to it's fullest. That's the person I've become and that's the person I plan on staying. GOT SLIMMER AND JACKED!!! Not really jacked, but I did get slimmer. =O
